These terms cover your use of thefounderfile.com.au and anything you buy from it. By buying from us you agree to them. They are written in plain English on purpose.

Who we are

The Founder File sells digital templates, playbooks and checklists for people running product brands. We are based in Australia. Contact: hello@thefounderfile.com.au.

What you are buying

Every product is a digital file. Nothing is posted to you. After payment you receive a download link on the order confirmation page and by email. Each product page describes exactly what is included and in what file formats.

Your licence

When you buy a product you get a licence to use it inside your own business, for as long as you like. You can edit it, adapt it, and share it with people who work in your business. You cannot resell it, give it away, publish it, share it with other businesses, or use it to build a competing product. If you run more than one business, buy a copy for each.

Not professional advice

Our products are working templates based on experience running a real brand. They are not legal, financial, tax or accounting advice. Numbers, timings and wording in the templates are starting points, not guarantees. Check anything that matters with your own accountant, lawyer or adviser, and make sure anything you send to customers complies with the laws that apply to you, including spam and privacy laws.

Results

We do not promise any particular result from using our products. What you get out of them depends on your brand, your products and the work you put in.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy. In short: no refunds for change of mind on instant downloads, a fix or a full refund if a file is faulty or not as described, and nothing in our terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers. We do not see or store your card details.

Our content

Everything on this site and in our products, including the copy, designs, templates and the Founder File name and logo, belongs to us. Buying a product does not transfer ownership of it to you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from a product is limited to resupplying the product or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you buy is the one that applies to your purchase.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
